I come on here to post that I think he's calling it quits for real this time, but before I know what's going on the Vikings are offering him more money. I don't know why I was so surprised by this. Of course they were going to try and sweeten the deal, and it's very possible that he'll stay away for good, but all of the sudden I have the feeling that he's coming back for fat bills. I couldn't imagine anybody waiting until camp opens to retire and then immediately coming back, but then again, earlier this summer I couldn't imagine anyone calling a press conference to take a massive crap all over their home town team. If this is the start of a new trend I'm done. Please Brett. Stay away. Unless you come back to throw a soul crushing interception in the clutch that makes a fan base wonder why they ever liked you. Then I'm all for it.
fuck favre. man ruins television.
ReplyDeleteI understand the vikes offering more money to make it more appealing to come back but he was already scheduled to make $13 million...thats a crap load for a 41 year old quarterback lol. I feel like he's not in it for the money although its definitely something considered. Hopefully he just wants to come back to bring the vikings to be super bowl contenders like last year, win one more super bowl and solidify his legacy as one of the best QB's the NFL has ever seen...then he could finally retire on top and make it a good one.
ReplyDeletei don't think it's for the money either. he doesn't want to be remembered as the biggest choke job in league history, and he wants to go out on top. he wants the vince young, end of ut legend, confetti shot at the end of the rose bowl. i can't blame him for that. what i am upset about is how he's already reconsidering and saying he'll play when he decided to retire yesterday. when is this going to end?
